Exploring The AI Landscape: A Critical View

Exploring The AI Landscape: A Critical View In-Person

This workshop is designed to help students navigate the AI landscape. We’ll start with a brief introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI), highlighting both its opportunities and limitations. The theoretical portion will then address ethics, bias, and privacy, followed by a practical session using our campus-licensed AI tools to generate research topics, keywords, and search strategies.

The learning outcomes here are twofold: they will tackle the theoretical and practical aspects of AI. On the theoretical side, they will be able to navigate the AI landscape, allowing them to critically discuss ethical issues like bias, privacy, and academic integrity while also learning to evaluate the outputs of AI tools. On the practical side, they will gain hands-on experience using campus-licensed AI tools to perform specific research tasks, such as brainstorming topics and generating keywords.
