An Introduction to Research Metrics In-Person / Online

Research analytics has grown increasingly popular, offering valuable insights into scholarly work. Researchers can use analytics to identify emerging trends, evaluate article and journal performance, analyze collaboration networks, and map the intellectual landscape of specific fields. In this workshop, participants will learn how to conduct bibliometric analyses to assess and enhance their research impact.

This session will also provide an opportunity to explore three curated data sources, Scopus, SciVal and Web of Science, and understand what they index. Participants will be introduced to key research metrics, including Field-Weighted Citation Impact and Journal Impact Factor.
